Android Tutorials

Step-by-step tutorials for common Android tasks. We avoid assuming every phone uses the same menu names, because manufacturer interfaces and Android versions differ.

Tutorial: review an app’s permissions

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Use Settings search for “Permission manager” or open the Privacy section.
  3. Select a permission, such as Location, Camera or Microphone.
  4. Tap an app to review its current access.
  5. Choose the narrowest access option that still supports the feature you need, then test the app.

Tutorial: check storage before deleting files

  1. Open Settings and search for Storage.
  2. Review which categories are using space.
  3. Remove files only when you recognise them, or use the file manager’s built-in review tools.
  4. Back up photos and documents before deleting them permanently.
  5. Avoid deleting app data for an app unless you understand that it may remove local settings or files.

Safety notes

Menu names and available options vary by device. Back up important data before resets, and do not disable built-in security protections just to follow a tutorial. Each guide should explain any risks and how to undo the change when possible.
